ALD's aim is to be the UK's premiere provider of vehicle funding and ancillary services and develop the business with continuous improvement. ALD is proud to hold the following accreditations:
ALD Automotive UK was awarded Go Ultra Low Company status in 2017 in recognition of its company car fleet. ALD exceeded the Go Ultra Low requirement of commiting to 5% plug-in vehicles by 2020, with 10% of the ALD Automotive vehicles classed as Ultra Low Emission Vehicles (ULEVs).
ALD Automotive is fully committed to providing customers with a complete service, and it is our aim to set the benchmark by which quality within our marketplace is measured. We constantly review and develop our business processes to ensure continual improvement. In recognition of this commitment, ALD Automotive first gained accreditation to BS EN ISO 9002:1994 in 1993. Subsequent enhancements were made to BS EN ISO 9001:2000 and 2008, with a 3 year transitional phase introduced to apply the new BN EN ISO 9001:2015 standards.
ALD Automotive is dedicated to providing a safe and healthy workplace. When carrying out our work activities, we also consider the effects on the wider environment, in order to minimise any harmful impact, so far as is reasonably practicable. As part of our commitment to a more sustainable future, ALD gained ISO 14001 via the Quality Accreditation body CARS QA in November 2007. ALD continue to apply and develop our management systems in line with new ISO9001 and 14001 criteria released in October 2015.
In 2015 we achieved Cyber Essentials accreditation. Cyber Essentials is a Government scheme which covers the basics of cyber security in an organisation's enterprise or corporate IT system. We have implemented a variety of controls including boundary firewalls, secure configuration, access control, malware protection and patch management. All of these significantly reduce the risk of prevalent but unskilled cyber-attack and provide reassurance to our customers, staff, investors and insurers.
At ALD Automotive we believe in and practice the five principles of being a Disability Confident Employer:
The scheme helps us to recruit and retain from the widest possible talent pool. Improving employee morale and treating all employees fairly.
