Steady growth
Last year, ALD Automotive achieved a growth of 9 %, with a fleet of 1,206,837 vehicles at the end of 2015, thus reasserting its leading position on the European leasing and fleet management market.
The partnership activity supported the growth in 2015 with through new deals between with car manufacturers and banking networks in 2015, which now represent 19 % of the total ALD Automotive fleet.
For ALD Automotive, the year 2015 also means 214,000 sold vehicles – half of the transactions having been performed via its remarketing platform, ALD carmarket – 1.2 M purchased tyres, 620 M litres of fuel and 4.8 M days of short-term leases.
Intensified international growth
ALD Automotive reasserts its leading position in Europe with significant progression not only in mature countries (France, Great Britain, Italy), but also in Poland, Turkey, Slovakia and Lithuania.
At the end of 2015, the company announced the acquisition of MKB Autoleasing in Hungary and
Bulgaria, thus strengthening its positioning in these countries: ALD Automotive became a major
player on the Hungarian automotive fleet management market and reasserted its leading position in Bulgaria.
Furthermore, ALD Automotive continues to develop business on new continents.
China's fleet is significantly increasing.
ALD Automotive strengthens its position in Latin America by opening a subsidiary in Chile in early 2015.
The company also closes a deal with Compania General de Electricidad early 2016, thus winning the most important bid in Chile (950 leased vehicles).
With this new deal and the recent opening of a subsidiary in Peru, ALD Automotive is strengthening its business growth on the automotive leasing market in the Latin American zone.
To support its growth, ALD Automotive relies on strong partnerships with partners in the USA, Canada, Puerto Rico (Wheels Inc), Australia & New Zealand (Fleet partners), South Africa (Absa) and Ireland (Johnson & Perrot), thus granting its customers a direct presence in 48 countries.
